Precision castings shaped for demanding applications
Amba Foundry, Hodek’s in-house casting division, produces sand and green sand castings in grey cast iron and SG (ductile) iron for off-highway and industrial applications. Annual capacity stands at 6000 tons.
Production runs on semi-automated ARPA 300 and 450 lines, supported by induction melting furnaces and automated sand handling and pouring systems. The process remains controlled across batches, which keeps output consistent.
Material quality is monitored through a dedicated laboratory equipped with spectrometers, carbon-silicon analyzers, and precision testing instruments. Composition and casting integrity are checked at each stage.
Alongside internal requirements, the division supplies external OEMs across automotive, power generation, and heavy machinery sectors. Components include damper housings, flywheel parts, pulleys, and pump bodies, produced to meet application-specific demands.
